This might be the secret that is not coming out concerning the Proterras. Here is a rather hair raising article explaining what's wrong with the brand new Septa proterras. Remember how I've been harping on older Proterras well these are issues with new ones. I didn't like hearing before they were the lightest frame on a heavier bus. Seems there is something to it.

Would it be too difficult to post in the correct topic? On a matter that was discussed there?

The article is like 10 months old.

...or maybe that getting 8351 out there is not more complicated than 8349.

If you are good at guessing, maybe you know if SS crews know how to use a screwdriver to attach a license plate? Other posters have said that plates are a hold-up.

The frames that the licensed plates go on are drilled into the bus just like how the ad frames are supported onto, I could be slightly wrong on it.

IDK, but the specs say that the manufacturers have to make provisions for them.

Interestingly, CTA still seems to use frames on the sides of the bus, while Pace has given them up, using wraps instead.

#8377, #8376 and #8358 are on the end of the shops. I was just over there.

Interesting I couldn't tell if #8358 was delivered fresh or not last night. #8376-77 must of came earlier this morning because I left the garage around 2 am and nothing new was over there at that time. I will say this though the #8350s are inching closer and closer to the finish line. More ventra readers are getting installed and almost all of them have Fareboxes.

I have 36 on my notebook list now, we’re just 14 buses away from the first 50 of half the base order.

That's what I have on the list. They did have 3 on the side by the 79th fence.. Couldn't help but wonder were they ready. It was 8350 and 2 other low numbered 8350s.

that makes 37 buses now……..maybe at 40 or 50 we will start seeing em sent to garages???

My guess is that we could start at 40, all of them should have their fareboxes and license plates installed already.

I never saw a route 178.   Is that a new route between Plattsburgh and Soldier Field?  Funny that route never makes it past 79th St. Lol!

That looks like 128.

I'd be more concerned about the spectre in the foreground. Better call Ghostbusters.?

#8388 Is on the way, not my photo by the way.

This picture could been even better if the guy reversed the camera around and took the shot of the bus regularly without him himself involved instead of taking a selfie of himself without even having to edit just to cover his identity.?
