Today I got #6826 and #6835. 6826 makes some loud hissing sound when we are accelerating and this hissing sound is real loud it blocks the engine a little bit. The number inside the bus is placed a bit lower than usual on the right side (where many 66 and 67's have/had) rather than right above the mirror. This bus is actually faster than 6835. 6835 was a slow bus and sounded strange when braking. The bus operator didn't get to 4th gear at all while he did a lot in 6826. This was the same bus operator by the way too lol on the 90 harlem. I haven't seen a nova with a broken non-functional interior display since 2019 in 6710 lol. 6835's number is placed normally above the mirror where many other 68 buses have it placed.imageproxy.php?img=&key=2388b81b52db51e3imageproxy.php?img=&key=2388b81b52db51e3imageproxy.php?img=&key=2388b81b52db51e3

Why ever since late 2015 or early 2016 Forest Glen been the last garage run the 6400 series buses but 5 years later they still around? Why didn’t they stayed at 74th, 77th, and Chicago Ave garages for a lil while? lol

Cuz all of the other garages got new buses so they sent them north FG was the last to get the new buses

The remaining 100 units will retire next year as new NovaBus LFS's will be replacing them. CTA recently ordered a contract of 100 new buses, with options to purchase an additional 500 buses.

There's only about 70 Novas left, the other 30 are all retired.

All of the 6400-series NovaBus LFS units are assigned to the Forest Glen Garage.

Yeah, we know that but the bigger elephant in the room is where will CTA decide to send those first 100 buses, when the first #7900's started rolling in between 2014-2015 77th and 74th received the first 200 after the #1000's rehabs were all but complete, then after the massive bus swaps the remaining #6400's were sent further north to Chicago and FG. FG eventually had the majority until the #8200's started rolling in around 2016.
