RJL6000
More moves: FG got 1028-1032 from 103rd. 1033 hasn't been out, so its whereabouts are unknown right now. (1026 and 1027 are still at 74th.) The mystery of 1560, 1799 and 1800 is now solved - at least this week: 1560 is still at FG. 1799 and 1800 went to C. Yeah could have been that the available equipment and operatots on weekdays during that two weeks were primarily at 74th taking into account your supposition on those two points. jajuan
The proofreaders of CTA notices strike again. Who can catch the flaw in this reroute notice? Temporary Reroute #49 Western #X49 Western ExpressMon, Jun 25 9am to 4pm or completion How does this affect my trip? Northbound #49 and #X49 buses will operate via Western, Washington, Damen, and Grand, then resume their normal route on Western.Southbound buses are not affected. Allow extra travel time. Why is service being changed? Buses are rerouted due to construction.
Busjack
I had the feeling that it was the wrong way on Washington, but I had to consult the map to verify that it was going eastbound and that's Warren.

You got it. The notice for when they move the construction to the other side of the street tomorrow and detour southbound buses only is also similarly incorrectly worded. That one says Warren when it should say Washington. The construction was work that was being done looked to be viaduct work underneath the Metra tracks passing over Western between Fulton and Hubbard. So Fulton or Lake (due to the Green Line structural supports being at the curbs at that stretch going eastward) would have been viable options if not for the fact that both have been closed off to vehicle traffic just to the west of Damen for a few weeks. At any rate, this actually confused a couple of operators because their reroute instructions had this same mistake, and the X49 I was on and the local 49 that was following both blew past Warren only to find that Washington is one way westbound and not eastbound crossing Western. So they had no choice but to continue on heading north and at the Metra viaduct slowing squeeze past on the southbound side of the viaduct, the action the powers involved in the construction work wanted to avoid happening by virtue of contacting CTA and requesting buses be rerouted in the first place. Also sometimes buses end up going ghost for days at a time on bus tracker so there can be several factors that play a role. Nothing much to worry about.
