With recent moves from certain garages, FG has earned 1707, 1767, 1789, and 1900. 1818, 1960, and 1990 are back at C, and 1773, 1730, 1791, and 1870 are back at NP.

More like NP loaned those buses to FG after it got 1730, 1773, 1791 and 1870 back from FG. And we can add 1710 to that list of current loans because it ran on the 84 yesterday.

Not all "HOWARD RED LINE" readings are gone from the 22 and the 147. The owl trips on the 22 all say "HOWARD L STN", but some daytime buses still show the old reading. A number of the NB 147 buses have also still been saying "HOWARD RED LINE" as well along with NB 147 buses that have the "HOWARD L STN" reading. As for the other post that mentioned the 74's WB destination readings, that route has been sporting "74 to NORDICA" readings for a while now.

I remember when they started getting all specific. 77 went from Harlem to Octavia, 12 went from Austin to Monitor and I think the 65 went from Harlem to Neva, etc

1386 Still Has “F” On it do you guys think it will go back to FG in the next pick

We won't know until the pick comes or someone inside like @andrethebusman gives a heads up.  And no don't go rushing him for the roster just cause you know he has access to that kind of info he'll release info he has when he's ready IF there's anything worth sharing

As of late Saturday morning, I could find only one roster change on Maths22's "Buses in Service" list:

1368 seems to have migrated from Chicago Ave. to 103rd. It's assigned to the #29. There may be others, but I guess we'll know in the coming days.

It's a normal reassignment pattern for the Labor Day weekend, so I don't believe it's just a loaner. In the meantime, 74th still has its out-of-sequence oddballs, and 1028-33 remain at FG. I'll keep an eye out for additional low-1800s at FG beyond 1803 (if there are any).

And 1369 is on the #115, so it seems to have joined 1368 at 103rd

1800-1803 remain at FG along with 1028-1033 I’m pretty sure FG did not gain beyond 1803

Three more NF transplants from Chicago Ave.:

1371-72 to 77th

1374 to FG, joining 1375 & 1379 there, as earlier reported by Aiden T. It could be that 1376-78 might be waiting in the wings. I guess we'll know soon.

As for 1388, it migrated from NP rather than C, so I'm guessing that it might turn out to be a numerical oddball.

Yes 1374 Working 81 Lawrence I’m taking a wild guess 1374-1379 migrated from C To FG Along with 1388

i don't know about 1389-90, but 1391 is still operating out of NP. You're probably right about 1374-79.

A lot of major CTA changes happened when I wasn't old enough to be interested in public transit, so I went back to look at old early 2000s era maps and I'm honestly astounded by some of the route decisions. The only ones I really remember was the 1 going to 63rd/Stony, 35 going to Mercy/Michael Reese and the existence of the 27 South Deering, and I would've been around 3-5 years old if memory serves correctly. A lot of these make me wonder what the reason was behind a particular decision. List of things I found amazing:

  • 52A went all the way to Kedzie/36th Pl
  • North Hyde Park
    • 51 used to end at 47th/Lake Park
    • 28 going to 47th/Red Line
    • 47 ending at 47th/King Dr
  • Didn't know the 6 used to run on Jeffery
  • Some X routes were LTD routes (the 53AL always confused me)
  • 77 going to the Nature Musuem
  • 76 and 152 ending at Diversey/Inner Drive
  • The existence of Pace bus 254
  • Pace bus 210 going to the Loop, then being truncated to Bryn Mawr Red Line
  • Whatever that weird turnaround the 96 used to do
  • The Clybourn diversion on the 73
  • The LaSalle express routes not getting on LSD until essentially North Ave
  • The 28 going all the way to Paulina/Congress
  • The spaghetti Evanstons
  • I remember the 129 (and the moldy Flxibles that ran on it) but not the 127
  • Apparently the 124 was the Navy Pier "Express"?
  • The 56 going to Navy Pier
  • 147 going to the Finacial District
  • I definitely remember the 12 going to Museum Campus (which should be brought back, imo)
