More Bus Moves

I could joke that 77th getting the #1100's is setting up for them to get more #7900's and transfer those low #1000's to FG but it could really be reality. I really doubt when the time comes for FG to get #1000's, they will get anything other than the base order or first option. I doubt they will get any of the last 400. It's almost funny to imagine CTA brass cringing when they have to send them something because obviously they don't want to do it or Fg would've had something by now.

Well something has to give because Forest Glen can't keep them forever.

This is by far one of the more weird trades. If anything I would think 77th should of just gave away what they took first and left the 1900's. Most of these busses (1100, 1900) were just transferee a couple weeks ago.

Exactly and notice how they're getting mostly rehabbed ones like hungry hungry hippos!!!

Yeah I just noticed that. Watch in a couple months these exact busses would be rearranged again. I thought that 77th would purge busses but at the start of the pick not now. I also don't understand how some busses get left behind over others. 1154 was on 62 this morning and 1930's were on 74th routes but some were left behind. Also 1928,29,82,83,88,89,90,91,93 belong(ed) to Chicago. So I don't understand why Chicago didnt get those back.

1939 still at 77th.

I seriously don't understand why Chicago didn't get theirs back while some of their Novas are retired. However, Chicago do have #1962-64 and a few 77th's 1200s. So, that might be the factor why they didn't get them back despite having #1984, #1985, and #1987. By the way, #1942 is on #75 and #1065 is on #60.

#1951 and #1956 are 74th now on the #47 and #55. #1952 is still on the #8A. I'm going to have to go through every bus when I do this roster update cause it's completly random.

Through that, I found this clip... just as interesting to share with the forum....

Thoughts on this one???

Dated: 11/19/14 Bus: 6498 Route: 86 Narragansett at North & Ridgeland

,,,,

Doesn't show what provoked it, but apparently the "veteran" did. Looks like the driver did the right thing getting off the bus. Looks like from the location, the Chicago rather than Oak Park police will have to deal with him.

Just a quick heads up, 103rd seem to have got a gang of buses from kedzie not sure how many but we do have 1177,1184,1134,1225,1182 and probably some more I'll find out if these are official transfers or not.

to add to what I said, we also have 1125 from 74th, and just a few mins ago I saw about 6 more Buses pull into the garage couldn't get all the numbers but I did see 1213, 1178 and a few more. A lot of transfers if indeed they are.

with the exception of #1125, all those buses headed to 103rd are rehabbed and they seem to be pushing out the unrehabbed 103rd buses to Kedzie. Could they be trying to get a completely rehabbed fleet at 103rd?

Yeah this is getting weird,

At Kedzie

#1063, #1003, #1473, #1798 on #82

#1827 on #52, #1841 and #1834 on #60

#1012, #1851, #1854, #1800, #1084 on #21

#1256 and #1900 on #126

#1013 and #1820 on #124

At 103rd,

#1279 on #103, #1225 on #119, #1134 on #111a, #1168 on #28, #1184 on #29, #1182 on #34, #1177 on #15, #1277 on #71

Did 77th lose 1473 to K? and good point, maybe 77th and 103rd are going to be "rehabbed" garages and other garages be non rehabbed garages. I would reverse it and make 77th and 103rd non rehabbed garages for transport reasons.

They could probably pull that off but there are still a few unrehabbed buses at 103rd #1613 and a few others but it's like 5-10 buses. Maybe some got away from them before they could get transferred. I would probably put all the unrehabbed buses with the garage that's getting #7900's, whomever that will be. This way when they have buses going out in excess, they have new buses coming in to take up the slack for missing buses. Making a garage all rehabbed buses should lower that garages fleet total and open up some slots for Nova retirements. But they have so many buses rehabbed now 640 something, 700 at least mechanical rehabs, they wouldn't have to go all unrehabbed at Kedzie but maybe half and half.

That and a couple of the prior posts indicate that if that is the reason, it has to be pretty temporary, because the rehab process should wrap up soon.

I was so excited to see all those 1100's today at the garage lol. I had 1177 earlier my 1st half on the 15 then my 2nd half I had 1168. The 1100 blocks are my favorite number series along with the 1500's so for 103rd to have over 20 1100's is frickin awesome for me lol. It would been Sweet if we got some old Novas too I mean why not they're about to be retired soon why not let my garage be their final home. But new Novas wouldn't be bad either lol, but I'm not sure if that'll happen soon though.

1166 and 1211 is also at 103rd late post I know, but I was checking bus tracker and I saw it on the 29 I believe and 1211 is currenty on route 34. 1241 is back at 77th so you can take that off the 103rd roster. Btw great job on the updates with the rosters. You really did a good job, I appreciate your hard work and dedication to all those who contribute to putting the roster together.

You have helped us alot figuring out what's at 103rd, so you're doing us good too. Alot of what you guys got are rehabs and alot of what went out is not. (alot of #1250's and #1800's) It should be interesting to see what you guys kept because there is still more unrehabbed #1800's by you. But man they are really putting it to Kedzie. Probably they should have sent some of those unrehabbed buses to Chicago too so Kedzie wouldn't be so mired with unrehabbed buses. I had a laugh earlier AJM522 asked me why #1473 was at Kedzie? You know that's like the only high #1400 that's not rehabbed!! That explains everything!! LOL!!
