More Bus Moves

You have helped us alot figuring out what's at 103rd, so you're doing us good too. Alot of what you guys got are rehabs and alot of what went out is not. (alot of #1250's and #1800's) It should be interesting to see what you guys kept because there is still more unrehabbed #1800's by you. But man they are really putting it to Kedzie. Probably they should have sent some of those unrehabbed buses to Chicago too so Kedzie wouldn't be so mired with unrehabbed buses. I had a laugh earlier AJM522 asked me why #1473 was at Kedzie? You know that's like the only high #1400 that's not rehabbed!! That explains everything!! LOL!!

What!!! #1473 not rehabbed?!?!?

6626 and 6645 on #35

I'm sorry, come again??? Just kidding.

I thought it was a K route, and 807 is on it.

I guess Kedzie was not good enough to get Novas in 2002, and is now not good enough not to get them. Unless they are loaners from 74th, someone is going to have to come up with a new explanation.

Agreed because it isn't making any logical sense due to the fact that they're about to sweep 103rd's 1800s.

They must think Kedzie has godly powers if it's going to rehab all those buses, that's got to be 120 now before the summer and they probably can't do multiple south shops buses to the extreme because what would be there for service? They need the new novas but they are probably not getting them.

Well, it is a well organized garage despite not having a new consistent fleet with 40-foot buses (non-hybrids) prior to 1000s since the Flxible days. You'll never know what they got under their sleeves magically.

Those Novas would quite possibly be loaners because the 35 is indeed a K route. As for the swapping madnesses with the 1000s, I noticed that yeah it looks like Chicago and NP are included but not to the extreme of what went down between Kedzie, 74th, 77th and 103rd. I knew something was up though when I rode 1989 and spotted other 1900s on the 9 yesterday along with spotting 1842 on the 12 this morning.

BusHunter's mention of 77th and 103rd sending unrehabbed buses to 74th and Kedzie also got me to thinking that this could be also be looked at as a temporary means to even out the fleet since 77th and 103rd run the south side Lake Shore Express routes. True Kedzie does still have 134 and 143 from among the North Side express routes, but those are peak direction rush hour only and Kedzie runs mostly artics on those.

Not necessarily short, as MrCTA (who works there) said they got transfers in over the weekend.

I pay attention to the buses that run out of 103rd because I live in an area that is 103rd territory & I know a couple of people who are bus operators and I do have a working idea how things go at CTA. I think buses in the 1258-1279 range are transfers & the others I think are loaners now I can be wrong about the 1100's that were recently received & also 77th might be trying to make room for more Novas.

I've spotted more 1100's at 103rd,1129,1135,and 1186. From the 1100 range (excluding the original 5 we had before) we have 1122-42 then again from 1166-86. It seems like we got more than we gave away unless we're giving away more 1800's. Not to mention the 1200's we got from Kedzie and 77th I believe too.
