Anything is possible with CTA management in regards to NP. They can't be anti-nova forever. However, I did get some more insight on the #8600s and the where abouts when it comes to where the remaining ones will go a few days ago from maintenance and it seems to be up in the air right now. 77th is trying to secure a good batch while also unloading quite a few of there #1000s and #7900s. Chicago is the main priority for right now though. Those #1000s with new fareboxes won't be there long term from what I was told. Begs the question where will some of those elderly #1000s go?

450 divided by 7 is  65 each garage. But your numbers have 933 left, or only 97 OOS. Only one exactly 65 is 103rd; Kedzie is close. 77th and NP are way over, 74th pretty much so.

first of all 7906 is back at Kedzie and is not running out of FG anymore

Forest Glen currently does not have 8350 as they use that bus for something else

The only Proterra buses that have run in February are the following: 603 as the only BE40, 608 614 615 617 620 as ZX5's.

Novas appear to be correct, but 8120 has been out of service after an accident in June and has not been repaired. 7902 and 8138 have not run in over a month. 8501 is the only 8350 that has not run in over a month.

8564 8587 8588 8590 8593 8594 8595 8600 8601 8603 8612 8618 and 8619 are active at Chicago garage but it's are not listed.

Chicago has gained multiple buses from 103rd, along with bringing back some of the buses they owned with new fareboxes. 1065 and 1111 should not be listed yet until they appear on the tracker.

Chicago now has 1067 1075 1085 1090 1092 1095 1101 1104 1106 1109 1112 1128 1129 1142 1158 1167 1170 1174 1176 1192 1194 and 1301. All 1400's except 1458 should be listed at North Park. 1837-1839 and 1853 should be listed at North Park. 1840 and 1854 are not active and have been spotted at South Shops/Boneyard. 1908 is officially retired less than a week after pulled from service with LTH/300. 1916 1921 and 1922 are no longer active, especially 1922 which hasn't been active since 2021. 1934 and 1939 have been spotted pulled from service after running last Friday's evening runs. 1940 has not run in February 2024 at all. 1944-1948 are no longer active and all 5 should be taken off the roster. 1962 should be listed as active as it is currently running at the time I post this corrections message. 1965 is no longer active. 1972-1973  1981 1983 1984 1985 1988 1989 1998 2004 2008 2013 2016 2023 and 2028 are no longer active. 2026 was spotted at South Shops/Boneyard this weekend.

Kedzie has 7906 and is active. 8273 is currently not active, it is assigned to Kedzie but has last run out of Forest Glen and is awaiting repairs. Kedzie has 8289 and 8323 which are not listed.

Kedzie has 8451 8589 8596 8599 8620 and 8646 which are not listed.

DE60LF: 4055 4061 4062 4072 4075 4076 are not active. 4083 and 4088 are active at Kedzie. 4098 is currently not active. 4123 is currently active at Kedzie, whereas 4126 is currently incative.

D40LF: 1002 has not run in over a month. 1017 is no longer active and is retired. 1020 was never at Kedzie, so idk why its there. 1678 and 1695 have not run for about a month. 1696 1697 1698 1702 1704 and 1705 are no longer active. 1732 is no longer active and is retired. 1753 and 1754 are no longer active along with 1759 which is also not active anyore. 1845 and 1852 and 1899 are also inactive.

Proterras are 100% correct

Novas: 8020 is not active, 8021 has been out of service for over a month, 8023 should defintely not be there because that has been done for 4 years now. 8028 and 8040 are not active, 8040 has been broken for over 1 year. 8049 8062 and 8074 have not run in over a month. 8190 is in the boneyard and currently not active.

D40LF: 1369 and 1384 active but are not listed on your roster. 1435 is at 77th and not 74th. 1502 and 1541 were involved in incidents in the fall of 2023 and have not yet been put back into service. 1517 is retired and should not be listed. 

77th

700/701 are inactive, and have not run since 2021.

7929 is retired for good and never coming back, 7944 7950 and 7955 have not run in over a month. 8547 is at Chicago garage and should not be listed at 77th. 8552 is not yet active and should not be listed under 77th until it is active, unless it's running with a broken tracker,

All 1810-series buses except 1818 are currently broken, the rest of them are all at south shops or the boneyard scattered somewhere, whereas 1818 is still at North Park. 1823 1827 are no longer active. 1837 1838 1839 and 1853 are now at North Park, they have moved from Chicago, but are not listed as North Park.  1861 1865 1868 1870 1883 1885 1890 and 1892 are no longer active.

Chicago

The only Proterra buses that have run in February are the following: 603 as the only BE40, 608 614 615 617 620 as ZX5's.

Novas appear to be correct, but 8120 has been out of service after an accident in June and has not been repaired. 7902 and 8138 have not run in over a month. 8501 is the only 8350 that has not run in over a month.

8564 8587 8588 8590 8593 8594 8595 8600 8601 8603 8612 8618 and 8619 are active at Chicago garage but it's are not listed.

Chicago has gained multiple buses from 103rd, along with bringing back some of the buses they owned with new fareboxes. 1065 and 1111 should not be listed yet until they appear on the tracker.

Chicago now has 1067 1075 1085 1090 1092 1095 1101 1104 1106 1109 1112 1128 1129 1142 1158 1167 1170 1174 1176 1192 1194 and 1301. All 1400's except 1458 should be listed at North Park. 1837-1839 and 1853 should be listed at North Park. 1840 and 1854 are not active and have been spotted at South Shops/Boneyard. 1908 is officially retired less than a week after pulled from service with LTH/300. 1916 1921 and 1922 are no longer active, especially 1922 which hasn't been active since 2021. 1934 and 1939 have been spotted pulled from service after running last Friday's evening runs. 1940 has not run in February 2024 at all. 1944-1948 are no longer active and all 5 should be taken off the roster. 1962 should be listed as active as it is currently running at the time I post this corrections message. 1965 is no longer active. 1972-1973  1981 1983 1984 1985 1988 1989 1998 2004 2008 2013 2016 2023 and 2028 are no longer active. 2026 was spotted at South Shops/Boneyard this weekend.

Kedzie

Kedzie has 7906 and is active. 8273 is currently not active, it is assigned to Kedzie but has last run out of Forest Glen and is awaiting repairs. Kedzie has 8289 and 8323 which are not listed.

Kedzie has 8451 8589 8596 8599 8620 and 8646 which are not listed.

DE60LF: 4055 4061 4062 4072 4075 4076 are not active. 4083 and 4088 are active at Kedzie. 4098 is currently not active. 4123 is currently active at Kedzie, whereas 4126 is currently incative.

D40LF: 1002 has not run in over a month. 1017 is no longer active and is retired. 1020 was never at Kedzie, so idk why its there. 1678 and 1695 have not run for about a month. 1696 1697 1698 1702 1704 and 1705 are no longer active. 1732 is no longer active and is retired. 1753 and 1754 are no longer active along with 1759 which is also not active anyore. 1845 and 1852 and 1899 are also inactive.

74th

Proterras are 100% correct

Novas: 8020 is not active, 8021 has been out of service for over a month, 8023 should defintely not be there because that has been done for 4 years now. 8028 and 8040 are not active, 8040 has been broken for over 1 year. 8049 8062 and 8074 have not run in over a month. 8190 is in the boneyard and currently not active.

D40LF: 1369 and 1384 active but are not listed on your roster. 1435 is at 77th and not 74th. 1502 and 1541 were involved in incidents in the fall of 2023 and have not yet been put back into service. 1517 is retired and should not be listed. 

77th

700/701 are inactive, and have not run since 2021.

7929 is retired for good and never coming back, 7944 7950 and 7955 have not run in over a month. 8547 is at Chicago garage and should not be listed at 77th. 8552 is not yet active and should not be listed under 77th until it is active, unless it's running with a broken tracker,

D40LF: 1206 1215 1229 are MIA. 1233 is at Kedzie and not at 77th. 1272 1274 1294 and 1296 have not run in over a month. 1301 is currently at Chicago garage and not 77th. 1328 1341 1342 are currently MIA. It is not known if 1363 will return to service.

8404 is not listed but is active at 103rd. 8426 is MIA. 8443 is not active at the moment. 8480 is MIA.

Once a bus is placed on LTH more than likely it will not return, once I witness that at SS I remove them from the roster indefinitely. Most recently #1908 was in serivce no more than a week ago and it is now on LTH at SS. The indications I usually get confirmation from are FOIA reports, yellow stickers place on the windshields, Rust etched across the front or rear of the bus and last but not least, fareboxes being removed although with the GFI models getting replaced with the more recent German product that will be a little more difficult to distinguish what's LTH for mechanical reasons or rehab. Anything below option 3/4 that is currently OOS I hold judgement on.  #4300s are currently getting rehabbed in batches, while the #4000s appear to be getting handpicked for LTH/ retirement  currently.

For the operators up at NP that haven't operated anything since the last system pick in regards to the LFS they would need some type of familiarization training with both series of LFS. The LFS doesn't run remotely close to the New Flyers they currently have. The collision avoidance system on the #8350s isn't simple to learn for new operators having never being trained on them, which is why Kedzie had to train it's operators for the new system.

Yes I was thinking the same also that's why when they get into a serious crash now they just sit for the legal hold but then after they just sit to become parts buses like 7929 8229 I believe & a few others did 8015 or which 80 bus that was that crashed on 69th & ashland

I would agree.  The key is learning where the important stuff is and adjusting to how one type of bus operates vs another.  For instance Prevost bused have a tighter turning radius compared to an MCI.  While Prevost has a feature where you can raise the tag axle. MCI coaches feature a turning tag axle to assist in tighter turns. But basically a bus is a bus

This Spring pick has brought on more #8350s and Artics entering service across the system while displacing more option 3/4 buses from there respective garages. The total count for #1000s being OOS has fluctuated between 225 - 250 over the last several weeks.  We've also surpassed the 300 total count for #8350s as 310 are currently in service, I expect more #1000s to get sidelined before the year is out. As always if you see any errors please point them out and I'll fix them accordingly in due time. I'll probably update the rosters again before the Summer pick is set to begin because as we all know the summer will see major shifts of equipment for key events across the city.
