ibebobo
Thanks. I think that's the first time in almost 30 years (M.A.N. Americanas) that we have a consistent fleet with yellow/amber rear turn signals. I'm not counting the "what the hell is this" Orions that transitioned to cta. I don't remember the Americanas having amber turn signals. Did they?
garmon757
I don't remember the Americanas having amber turn signals. Did they? I thought they did but jajaun already clarified that they didn't.

geneking7320
I got an iPhone vid of 7926 turning onto Clark but I am having trouble posting. The front overhang covered the crosswalk before bus completed the turn. IMG_1452.MOV
BusHunter
Here's #7915. I tried sharpening this shot with a windows program, Gimp. It did take out the white hue.
jajuan
I don't remember the Americanas having amber turn signals. Did they? I thought they did but jajaun already clarified that they didn't. No CTA's Americanas didn't. Garmon's correct that he and I had a conversation clarifying his impression. But those from New Orlean's TA, RTA, had amber signals in the rear though. And if I'm not mistaken I think those from the Seattle area's King County Metro may have had them as well. rvwnsd
Actually the roller curtains got "cta the Spirit of Chicago" reading about 1979 You are right. For some reason my memory merged old CTA and WGN memories. WGN had old promo commercials with clips from around the city, one of which was a Fishbowl displaying the Spirit of Chicago roller readings zipping past and I happened to be thinking of both simultaneously because the promo clips had the Sinatra song playing in the background. I'm glad you cleared this up. I'm old enough to "get" the "My Kind of Town Chicago Is" reference and to recall the Helvetica roller signs, and I distinctly remember "cta The Spirit of Chicago," not "My Kind of Town..." However, I do remember the commercial jajuan mentioned. One more stray off-topic. I remember the first Helvetica roller sign I ever saw. It was on the 64 Foster-Lawrence heading east on Foster just east of Nottingham. I was in grade school and thought I mis-read the sign. Then I saw another one on the 88 Higgins at Natoma and realized I was NOT seeing things.

garmon757
I wanted to post some shots of #7920 on #87 @ 87th/Lafayette because I wanted to represent the south side routes. I know it's a dangerous task but I don't let that bother me. I wish these can be published.
