I can recall when I worked there back then, the 6760s up to 6883 were assigned to FG.

That bus actually debuted at K. The 1st 110 6000s were delivered to 77th. The next set was delivered to K, then 74th got the last100. Then with the big switch, 77th gave up all of their 6000s for 103rd's 5300s and others. K received 6000 to 6040 from 7, but swapped its own 6000s with F and received their 5300s. 103rd received sone5300s in the 56xx range and also received 6070 through 6099. Eventually all if the 6009s were consolidated to FG and 74th, with 74th losing its TMCs and becoming 100 percent 6000s and Archer becoming 100 percent Novas. I worked at K when the 6000s were only two years old. Later when I transferred to FG I was excited when they were sent there to swap with the 55/5600s. We had 6128 with a special experimental paint scheme. Sadly, not long after the 6000s arrived at FG, buses #6131/6147 were involved in serious collision at Peterson/Spaulding while traveling together. Cant recall if #6131 ever returned to service But 6147 did. As for 6163, my plan is to save this bus from the scrapper.

I mainly wanted to operate the #6300's when 74th still had most of them before they got retired around late 2008. The #6200's were also good buses until they couldn't get the proper maintenance. I remember riding #6225 on Ashland with my mom during the late evening and it was a cold winter night, as soon as we got picked up we were expecting a nice warm bus to warm up on but we were sadly mistaken once the operator told us the heating malfunctioned or something along those lines, so we got on the TMC behind them which shockingly had more than enough heat to start a bbq. ???????
