Sometimes you have no choice. I was doing a trip down Pulaski myself, one of the weekend nights they had a bunch of street closures on 26th for mexican pride. Pulaski was closed at 24th. Had to go down Karlov and come back on 25th place. I didnt make one of the turns from Karlov to 25th place so I backed up. Got straightened out and away we go. Had a real close shave one day. A guy was landscaping and parked his truck on the side street I was going down. I wave my arms at him like wth? He tried to guide me but I looked and felt I could make it but it was a close shave about 6 inches between cars. I just went slow and got through, but when your that close you really have to worry about swinging your tail into something. If we get caught, we can radio for help or get the cops over there to get someone to move.

I know what you mean I then hit side streets & alleys

Looks like it had a mechanic escort too. Usually by me that's a sign of low confidence that the bus will make it to where its going on it's own. Right now it's like driving the golden goose. Somewhere there gonna have to test the charging stations.

Well my assumption was right about #600 going back to Chicago now whatever could be wrong with it is a mystery. What's also a mystery is where are the other Proterras Chicago had in its possession dating back to 2019?

Probably scattered. One at south shops one at chicago. Might be one where they train the mechanics. Because they are not numbered we dont know what is #600 and what is #603. We could be seeing different buses. Dont know how we are going to get the rest of the order if they dont test in service.

Well remember the #600 taken in the video by shannon had the same blue tape markings that I noticed when that particular one was at southshops. It was indeed the pilot #600 but you might be on to something if there's more than one with the same markings.

A CTA bus has been parked in front of the Rogers Park police station on Clark St. for several days now.  I guess it's to transport a whole bunch of cops if rioting breaks out due to the Breonna Taylor non-indictments.  I wonder how much longer the bus will stay there.  Has anyone passed any other police stations to see if those also have buses?

For any of my fellow travelers and operators god speed with you because cottage grove is an absolute mess. I never thought it was this bad until I picked it but on the weekends it's just nutty. Imagine having to work a double and triple street then add on to that not having any reliefs. I haven't had any easy time on cottage until my very last trip of evening around 10:30. Currently there is only 6 buses out there and I unfortunately have to go work on that street. I wish CTA would do something about this because it keeps getting worse and worse. I had one passenger tell me that had to wait nearly 2 hours for a bus because they had to keep switching buses due to no reliefs getting made. That to me is unacceptable and should be looked into if it hasn't already because I have get caught in the crossfire of tension from the passengers. I'm grateful it hasn't gotten violent but I'm starting wonder what the breaking point.

Are that may drivers calling in sick?  I know CTA recently hired a bunch of drivers.  Was there a shortage due to firings, retirement,  and Covid,?  Is it just the 4 or are other routes affected?

I fully understand you. A few spring picks ago I had all Cottage 4 days. I experienced the same thing recently on 79th St. I had 3 buses missing in front of me.
