6400-series Nova LFS - Updates & Retirements

Rumor has it that CTA is pulling all the remaining 6400s off the street tonight and putting them out of service. They’re moving buses to Forest Glen from other garages to cover the lost.

Looks like they made the move earlier this morning with NP,74th and 103rd because there are no #6400's active this morning.

i wonder if they will be returned? and if they are how long will it take?

I wouldnt doubt the union had a hand in the sidelining/retirement of the 6400s. That is one cooked seat and it's getting close to their clientele!!

Idk if the 6400's gone go back to FG I think they gone be like the 60's gone get used at every garage until they all get knocked off cuz the ones we got at Kedize got K stickers in them already

That would be true but I got to watch out for 6770 lol they left that at FG

Depends where the hard drive is. On our buses it is in the rear.

I wouldn't say that but seeing where they're parked gives me the impression that they'll get inspected, they're sitting adjacent to one of the shop buildings rather than sitting deep inside the boneyard.

What about the ones at third yard at FG are those being inspected too?
