I'm still trying to get a headcount for how many they have and so far it appears they have used 4 in total for the evening rush. What really has me confused is why hasn't 103rd or Kedzie started using there's yet, especially 103rd with how short they've been the last few weeks. I said K need to let us use em or send an back to FG

Thankfull the bus is fixed and is operating well on the 146 rn That's a relief point and the bus was most likely there for operators to eat lunch. Whenever the rear engine cover is raised the bus is placed in rear run to keep it from shutting off. Once the next operator who's suppose to take the bus come along the bus is then taken off of rear run and goes back into service. Similar thing happens at Randolph and Columbus, Navy Pier, Union Station, and Halsted and Division.

TGP01
1868 was getting towed earlier, I saw it at Lincoln and Jersey. The wrecker was going north on Lincoln and made a right turn onto Jersey, so probably taking it to NP?

Erin Mishkin Jr.
8291 broken down at the Harlem green line station. Apparently I rode 8291 four hours before these photos were taken and the bus was working normally. Must’ve had issues when heading to the green line a few hours ago. Third photo taken four hours ago when it was still working .

They probably wouldnt be lifting it unless it has an issue with the rolling of the vehicle. Suspension issue locked brakes etc.

But I still gotta love the Novas I’ve enjoyed so far.

And they still made it on 21 years and I can imagine the D40LFs retirement from now since they might end up passing 20 years too, depending on how fast the newer buses come in the last 5-6 years that will replace them. There are still over 1k of them in service and some will retire in a few years when the new Novas start replacing them and those are also better than the 7900s and I’ve enjoyed them since they also touched the streets in early 2006 with the 20 DE40LFs coming in the door with them into late 2006 to early 2007.
