#1272 and #1820 remains on #9 for the 3rd and 4th consecutive day while #1259 is also on that route.

This has to be new; #8 have a trip ends @ Halsted/North Branch. I wonder why though?

Hmmm, #1721 on #65. Now that's interesting.

#4206 on #66 (route began @ Chicago/Troy eastbound (most likely a school run from Kedzie))

#1246 and #1253 are on #67.

The #8 has storage midday at North Branch. The last stop is at Chicago, then the bus pulls in at North Branch. Then in the afternoon some #8 runs pull out at north ranch and go south to root before going to Waveland.

Somebody mentioned storing buses at the CTA warehouse at 901 W. Division, so that must be that.

That's a warehouse garage? I've passed by the building before and I never knew what it was.

It's a warehouse, but apparently CTA is looking for any property to stash buses midday instead of deadheading them to the south side.

I see on the current schedule that there are only 2 Halsted-Madison trips, but otherwise the short terminal is North Branch.

Yes it's outside the CTA warehouse where they store extra parts (I think). This pick since 103 is storing artics on Randolph, they probably ran out of space. So now the 8 has an exclusive storage on North Branch. I think North Branch is now a relief point.

Besides the apparent continued borrowing of 40 foot NFs at 74th (some of the buses you reported weren't reported seen on any 74th routes early this week), it seems you may have confirmed that AM rush Kedzie trips on the 66 didn't entirely disappear with Chicago doing a lot of those AM short trips after those same buses' AM rush runs on the 12 as part of Chicago helping Kedzie with that route since this year's spring pick.

After that reminder that CTA stores buses in strategic locations to cut down on deadheading, I wonder if the artics that pull into NB service on the 22 in PM rush are stored somewhere instead of NP deadheading them. I haven't seen any pattern that shows them to be interlined with anything like with the 40 footers on the 22 are now and become PM 136s first and then in the last hour of PM rush primarily PM 135s.

Guess what, more Novas for FG!!!! #6529 on #56 and #6532 on #81!

Oh No!! So what FG is losing multiple buses to south shops? (better not be the amber ones):P

Looks like the uptick of #1000 borrowing starting with the #1005 sighting at Chicago is how they are filling in the gaps. I wouldn't be surprised if FG gets that entire block #6521-32 minus the retired ones #6522 and #6531. Somewhere this borrowing will stop and Chicago and 74th should get some more #1000's probably from 77th as they now have 17 #7900's and probably close to 20 by the end of next week.

Saw #5287-88 and another pair of 5000s (don't remember the number) together heading EB at Racine on the Blue Line, then stop on Morgan Middle about an hour ago. The leading car had a "Training Train" sign on the front.

Perhaps that is Pink Line training using the connector between the Pink and Blue Lines. By using the Morgan middle track. they could turn the train around and head back up to the Pink Line.

I think #49 could use some artics. I'd like to see this happen more often.

Well NP had a net increase in artics for the fall pick, but that gain has been steered to making 22 artic run in the PM rush starting with the peak direction trips in the 4 PM hour. It still may be possible to make a few of the NP run #49 trips artic operated if a few artics are available to spare in the PM rush for the relevant operators to use instead of a 40 foot NF.
