This is where the 8200's will most likely be for the indefinite period right now. If training sessions are still ongoing, but enough Bus Operators are trained to put them on the road, then they'll all be assigned to #77 as pullouts and reliefs, as that's a heavy route that can use reliable buses(get to Kimball Blue Line WB, and you'll get a real test of seating and standee capabilities real quick). I don't know where they're at with the training of all Bus Operators. The Line Instructor I spoke with said all must be trained before they'll enter service.

I, personally don't think I'll get to experience a ride on a 8200 until July or August at the earliest.

Well Fg does have NF's, so I don't see why they really need to segregate the #8200's on the #77. Belmont doesn't have TSP, I think that it's just a matter of having the newest buses together with the prepaid boarding. Also everyone is looking at Belmont and saying why are the buses so late and that manager is probably on the hot seat to deliver faster times, so they can deliver faster times with faster buses and say the prepaid boarding is a success even though it may not be. At least everyone looks good. Now whether we'll hear more

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln-YViin6p0

remains to be seen. Could have also been the clothing I was wearing was slick. (100 percent polyester shorts. sort of like swimming trunks)

BTW, the training buses went back to Chicago, so that indicates to me training is over unless you want to say #8200 is doing it.

Well, it's the same bus with more bells and whistles, and not all of them are out in service..... it's possible they(one or two) could be held in for group training.

8204 out on 77 today.

For some reason the 8200s are not showing up on maths22 tracker?

I don't think he updated his system by adding the 8200s in service.

I had not updated it.  Now I have.  I will correct the archives soon to show them (the data was collected, but not visible)

Ohh, then that means more than up to #8203 is at FG. I hope they run them on something else soon. This is getting old. I was laughing, because Garmon's shots were at Belmont Kimball right there where the prepaid boarding is. They could use his photo for promotional means. Why do I get the feeling #77 is going to become the next Ashland with it's sea of Nova's?

Nah I don't think Belmont will be the next Ashland. Only thing special with Belmont will be the new prepaid boarding at Kimball. Nothing special would need to be done with the buses for that. If they don't want to use the older version Novas, they can use some of their NFs to go along with the 8200s on that route.

I'm presently on #8204. The operator can't get his ventra to log on. It just shows words. So everyone gets a free ride." Come on and take a free ride" I'd put the link but i'm on my phone. Took some good shots at Cumberland while the operator was taking a leak. LOL. I'll upload this evening.

Ok here's my shots of #8204 at Belmont/Cumberland terminal.

It might tone down after this week and prepaid boarding gets a little old. One thing is certain, there is alot of bus bunching on Belmont. Today I ran into a 3 pack, that went east came back and went back east as the same 3 pack. Then i ran into a 4 or 5 pack as I was waiting on #8202. That operator was real cautious with his bus. I don't get it, it's still a Nova. It seems that if you have a slow operator then everyone bunches behind them. #6781 had a slow operator in that 4 pack maybe she was new but it was dragging down the street. #8202 was short turned earlier at Central west to east cause it was #8204's follower. Don't know if it was late or possibly had a slow operator but it was a good 4 hours from when I saw it later.

Well tomorrow I'm expecting at least 5 or 6 new buses on the #77. xD

Tonight on #8202 I experimented. Instead of sitting on the freedman seats, I sat on the rear most seats over the engine area. You know I wasn't slipping out of the seats. I wondered why. So I looked at the seats and even though they are slick there is an area in front of them that isn't which acts as a buffer. Now on the old American seating if you remember those seats had this too. I think the problem with the freedman seats is that they are slick to the edges of the seat and with the tilt of them slightly pointed downward makes one want to slide out of the seat. Just my 2 cents. :D

True it's still a Nova but would you want to be the first guy who scratches or damages one of the new buses after the garage just got them?  He would never live that down from the other operators. Lol. Give it some time and they'll get comfortable with operating them a little quicker but still safe.

Here are the photographs I got of 8202 and 8203 on Saturday afternoon, 4 June. I did not ride either of these buses, though, so there are no interior shots. 4927bd1a2626.jpg d9cb46cf59e2.jpg 58e23a94d9a2.jpg d0a4149d17d0.jpg 698c481abf01.jpg beb045a7e6e5.jpg

@pudgym29, can you please load them from your computer rather than picsee.net? The pics come up tiny in thumbnails, IE blocked a popup when I clicked on a picture to enlarge it and I got a ad for porn from another site.... Norton didn't go off about it being a threat, but site looks like it might be unsafe(Norton rates it "Untested").

It's #8202, also #8203 and #8205 is on the #76 as well

Yeah isn't this a trip. Now they got 5 new buses on the #76 and only one on the #77!! Prepaid boarding starts today too but not until the afternoon. No way all 5 of those could be trippers.

Everything worked fine for me. Use Firefox.

As I just mentioned with relation to Pace, you seem to have assumed things about one place when there wasn't a reason to do so. In fact, if it is a test to see if prepaid boarding works (sort of like 2 months at 69th) the test would be invalid if the extra variable of a different type of bus were added.

Here, here. I didn't like the look of picsee.net, it looks like one of those Russian sites that can hack your data if you're not careful.

But they should be interlined with #77. That's why they're on #76.

I put the #8203 pictures on my #8200 roster arrivals, so there is an alternate place to get them. Of course everyone has been credited with each other's shot. Just my shots are unauthored but I am the poster so it should be assumed who's pictures those are. Nice little collection so far from 4 different members of the forum.

Site looks a little questionable anyway..... some of those kinds of sites could load Adware/Malware/Spyware, Trojans & Viruses on your computer while your harmlessly looking at a bus. But at least I saw them through your delivery list.

So much for your 8200s sticking to Belmont for prepaid boarding testing BH. xD9_9

Well only one bus this afternoon remained on the #76 which was #8203. I think it was a block run as I'm sort of familiar with the operator who is regularly on the #76.
