I wonder if that's how this will turn out. buses will loan out or transfer within the sequential blocks and then when the home garage needs them they will return. Besides that though, 77th has been known to use other garages' buses that might have been down at South Shops for maintenance. Math's tracker doesn't show that bus in service at the present time. RJL6000
Looks like Kedzie has gotten the four oddball 1600s (#1601, #1603, #1606 and #1620) that were still at 77th until now - and maybe also #1575 and #1576. However, there may have also been a swap between 77th and North Park. 77th is still holding on to #1587-96 for now. One oddity: 74th has borrowed #1980 from Chicago, but only temporarily. One weird glitch occurred in the maths22 tracker yesterday evening: Several 7900s from 77th and 74th were reported as operating on a Kedzie-operated route, the #12 Roosevelt. So it is possible that the last of the ISM buses that at NP (basically 1390s-1404) have gone to 77th. All that needs to be done at 77th is trade 1587-96 for the relevant buses still at Kedzie. And going forward the main and remaining focus would be the final trades that need to happen between NP and Chicago and between NP and K (NP still has 1700s that should be at Kedzie) to get this swapocalypse done. Actually, the buses 77th received from North Park were #1339, #1348, #1349, #1375 and #1381-90. (Therefore, North Park should still have 14 ISM-equipped buses right now.) In return, 77th gave up all of its remaining 1900s (#1900, #1901, #1904, #1906, #1908, #1910, #1912, #1914, #1916, #1918, #1926 and #1927) to North Park; thus, 77th should no longer have any ISL-equipped New Flyers at this point. And Kedzie still has #1225-27, #1798, #1800s and #1928 that should be transferred to other garages by the time the current "swapocalypse" is finished. I mean maybe they can get 2-4 new buses a week, that would mean 2-4 fresh kills a week. Plenty of parts floating around. Only way 30 of the 2nd Gen Novas(6709-6883) are going to survive until 2018 or 2019 is with a light rehab, and given age and quantity of buses left by then, it's not worth it. All the Novas from 2000-2002 will no doubt see retirement by end of 2017 at the latest. Surviving as pick-a-parts buses for 2-3 more years won't work. Parts are getting tired on all the buses as even the newest of the old are pushing or beyond 500,000 miles now.

They can probably do rush hours only once they get to about 80 of them cause they have the 40 #1000's and I know they only really need 125 for the non rush period. I was kind of surprised with all the higher bus number retirements, i mean out of 5 buses 1 was a #6700 and 3 were #6800's. I didn't see many #6400's on the weekend and thought maybe they were done but I guess not. I guess they like frozen green destination signs. The amber ones are working for the most part. Looking back at my 3rd yard pics, I missed #6831 and was like where the hell did it go? It was in the 3rd yard for at least 6 weeks and it wasn't in service since 3/6/16. I looked and it's in service on the #56!! Someone needs to sing it a welcome back song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmm3KTa601s

transit kid 12
Lately, I've been seeing 7900s on the 157. I know that's unusual, because that route comes from the kedzie garage. I looked closer and saw it was from Chicago garage. Today I saw #8192 on the 12 Roosevelt. I'm 99.9% sure it was also from Chicago. This was at about 9 a.m. and it was followed by one of Kedzie's normal 1000-series runs. Is Chicago just helping out here? At first when I saw this, I thought Kedzie got some 7900s, and I was gonna start jumping up and down!
RJL6000
Nope. The #157 was reassigned to Chicago Garage as of this past Spring pick. And Chicago has been running selected AM rush period trips on the #12 since at least last year. Thus, Kedzie no longer has the #157.

It doesn't appear np got #1800's from Chicago; kedzie seems to be hanging on to their #1800's too. The #1900's at np are still there. So what transferred? (#1210-18 at Chicago) I bet that might have something to do with this #26 bidirectional startup on Monday cause like what happened to 103rd's buses. #1041 - #1206 isn't going to fly, but I bet if we check artic transfers we'll see where the other shoe drops. And look who has extra buses, Chicago so they may be the one who lost artics.

But they shouldn't have needed that many more buses especially since the #26 has been mixed artics and 40 footers and the buses deadhead back to the start points after completing a trip. The expanded hours should be nothing more than doing that same set up for a few more hours.
