#3279-3280 are fully rehabbed on the Orange Line.  Also,  it seems like they are starting back to consolidate the 3200s on the Orange Line within a specific range.

They should be getting close to finished and can spare missing some in that block.

as of 8/1/18 3351 and 3448 are assigned brown instead of long term hold. Mates 3352 and 3447 still LTH. Are 3351 and 3448 running as a mixed pair?

Sounds like it. I got pictures of #3351-52 on here. Just look up rodeo pictures from 2013 I believe. #3352 has a lot of damage. I'm surprised #3351 is running. What happened to #3447-48? Now you got me interested. I gotta see this. Whatever happened to #3457-58? Could #3457 be paired to something else like #3435 or #3436? I can't see it running in rehab condition unless #3458 gets digital signs.

I added a whole bunch of rehabbed 3200s to the list. They should only have 16 cars to rehab 17 if you count 3457. Didn't see #3457-58 or #3352-#3447. They got to be at Skokie shops. I don't see any non rehabbed 3200s in service anymore. 16 cars can fit at Skokie shops. I guess the timing is right for the great 3200 division to happen. All the lines should be equal now.

Just to report,

Yesterday, While on the blue towards O'hare I noticed 2 sets of 3200's at the Blue line Rosemont yard. Sadly I caught them last minute and didn't catch the complete fleet #'s

But they were 100% 3200's !!!

So I guess starting Monday morning we need to look for some 3200s AND 5000s on the Blue Line.

Definitely 5000s on the Racine trips on the posted Sept. 16 schedule, but @garmon757 said there would have to be training on the 3200s. I don't know why the 5000s would be different; maybe 54/Cermak operators are already qualified, but what about the switchmen and such on the Blue Line?

Just curious why would switchmen need to be involved? The way the 5000s communicate with the system compared to others?

You'll have to ask @garmon757  about that, as he originally brought up switchmen. My view is that the 3200s are similar enough to the 2600s so why the big deal, but he works there and I don't.

One thought is what will happen to 3457-3458? Obviously, only 3457 will be rehabbed and 3458(ex-3032) will ultimately be unmated and retired sometime down the line. Will 3457 be a loaner spare?

Both 3457 and 3458 are rehabbed. 3457 only has led lighting in the car. Both cars got the digital destination signs.

Finally CTA has assigned 3200s to the Blue Line. They should assign 5000s. alongside it.

I need to see. I don't believe this!

There are both 3200s and 5000s. IIRC, 5000s are doing AM Peak Racine to Jeff Pk runs (loans from Pink Line), 3200s are servicing the whole line.

Someone may have suggested this before, but perhaps they should take the 3200 Series rail cars off the Brown Line & transfer them as well to the Blue Line.
