Whatever all that means. I never mentioned "word porn". You CTA employees (if you are one) need to be mindful of customer safety. Apparently you're very inconsiderate towards how one feels about it if he doesn't agree with the rest. So if you're gonna be judgmental against me, you need to take a real good look at yourself in the mirror as do everybody who bashed on me about this. Don't tell me to be mindful. That's disrespectful. Choose your words more carefully @garmon757. People like you are what I call toxic!

Nobody bashed you the others sid what they said I just said stop being a snitch just mind your business when on the cta so you can make it home to your family safely I have a 6 year old daughter at home you think I am about to go after someone for not paying their fair not knowing what they on them you think I want to get shot over some funky 2.50 no because I am still getting paid weather they pay or not if I wanna risk getting shot at again I would have stayed in the marines at war but I chose to be home to be a father or i would have joined the law breakers over at chicago police

How old are you sir? You are deflecting accountability left and right here about something you yourself can't even address a proper logical solution to. You're now calling CTA employees and other members toxic yet we're giving you the honest feedback the best way we know how to make it make sense for you. Once again here we are back at square one. You're telling employees to be mindful of everyone's safety yet no one seems to be mindful of ours out here 24/7, 365 days a year. We're putting our lives on line yet there's inconsiderate individuals like you that can't seem to understand that not everything can be handled in the dream scenarios you think they can. We're trying to do a job and go home after said job is done in one piece while also transporting hundreds/ thousands of customers as well in a safe manor. We're dealing with so much on the road, at terminals and at stations and you expect fare evasion to be the top priority to keep everyone safe. Look at the data and you'll see that the resources and manpower isn't there to combat it effectively. Will you drop this nonsense please?

Was the Rosemont CTA station originally named River Road? If so, does anyone know if images of the River Road station signs exist online?

When the station opened in 1985. It was known as River Rd.  It was a B station in the AB skip stop pattern.   It wouldn't be long before the station became an AB all stop station.  It would take another ten years or thereabouts before the station name was changed to Rosemont.

I thought this was at C with the rest so it's just was sitting at ss

If you had posted in the correct topic, you would have known that 610 and 611 were at 74, running on 63.

It looks, from 10500 being west of Mannheim, and from the addresses of nearby buildings, that 9400 W was correct.

The Hyatt Regency O'HARE is located east of River Road and its address is 9300 W Bryn Mawr.

Manheim is about 10200W.  Ut doesn't seem to matter if its Rosemont or Schiller Park as both suburbs follow the Chicago pattern.   I hadn't noticed the number change to the Rosemont station so I don't know where the 10500W comes from.  It doesn't come from Des Plaines.   Their numbering system is different and approaching Rosemont the numbers don't go that high and the addresses are E and not W.

More than likely, the coordinate for the O'Hare station.

One thing we know for sure: the Rosemont station didn't move. Someone at CTA goofed.

Interesting amendments added to IL HB1342. Bill was passed in both houses.
“Provides that, after July 1, 2026 (rather than January 1, 2026), a Service Board may not enter into a new contract to purchase a bus that is not a zero-emission bus for the purpose of the Service Board's transit bus fleet.”

Honestly I wish they could have set the date further back.

I believe the intent is to give transit agencies time to be able to get infrastructures in place or in the process by the time the date rolls around.   Agreement have to be made with utilities, and facilities have to be constructed or fitted to accommodate the necessary equipment.   I think transit agencies including CTA AND PACE lobbied for more time to be in compliance.

That said, I think CTA needs to order at least one more round of diesel buses before that date.  It could be 40 ft or 60 ft or both, but CTA needs to ensure it can run service  while they prepare for the future.

While CTA has some Proterras and they are expecting 6 electric Novas this year, now is a good time to get a handful of electric artics to test as well.
