If anyone's interested in the percentage of getting a 8000 to ride on a 74th route currently, here's the probability(based on total buses at 74th as a whole and total Nova LFS Smart Buses at 74th)....

10% Chance Of Riding A Nova LFS Smart Bus(8000-8099)

I'm still waiting patiently for my 1st ride, and will try to document with a pic or two when it happens...

Thanks (both actual thanks and sarcasm). Your attempted coup was unsuccessful, my good sir (or lady).

I have been using the Busfinder byroncheng made to find the buses. It saves time doing searches, but it may not be as accurate as the traditional BusTracker. I'll make a note of that in future updates....

Busfinder was having issues yesterday on my way to Midway, #8028 kept showing up at 59th/Western on the #59. When I got to the terminal #8028 was waiting for me as a #62H. Then #8024 kept disappearing. It disappeared twice and seem to only appear at the north and south ends of the #94. Also there is a blind spot from 70th/Cali to 74th/Damen on the #94 as no one added the stops for that yet. That could be said about Cermak-Mccormick Place/Green line also. I have to see when the train leaves 35th still. At least that's how Transit Tracks was working, but i think they get their computer info from Bustracker so it might have the same issue.

Here some shots of the newest Nova #8032, which was a ghost bus 90 percent of the time. Also we have #8015 leading out a three pack of #8000 Novas on Ashland. They didn't see SW, so they went back to the south side!! :P

Thought I would've had my 1st ride yesterday on a new Nova..... I got to my stop to pick up the bus and saw a Nova lumbering up to the corner before the light across from my stop and at first glance I thought it was a new Nova, but nope...... it was #6846.....

My wait continues.........

You should find yourself around Midway more often then, since that's the place with the highest chance of getting a nova, seeing as every route that serves Midway is based in 74th

I thought my day was finally here.... I got to Ashland to head south to work and check the bustracker. I see #8000 due at my stop in 13 minutes. I'm thinking "Great, now I'll get my 1st ride on a new Nova." About three minutes later, along comes #1552 heading south. Dreams dashed again. My wait continues....

If you would have been earlier you could have seen #8031. #8009 was also on the #9, but Busfinder kept listing it at the Orange line Nb. It could have been a ghost bus.

Well here's pictures of #8031

If it weren't as cold out, I would have suggested just waiting the extra 10 minutes to ride 8000 as it seems a good inference from the tone of the rest of your post that you would have still made it to work on time if you had.
