7000 series started testing on Red Line today. Guess green's not the winner after all.

Were there any passenger reactions you observed for the 7000s on either side of town?

How were the signs on the cars in person?  Maybe they work perfectly fine with the naked eye, but on video it still appears like it's malfunctioning.

Some of the other videos on YouTube show a clear sign when the train is sitting still but starts "acting up" just before the train starts in motion.  So I'm not sure if its an LED refresh issue with the actual signs, a camera issue with settings,  or a weird combination of both.

I believe it's an artifact of the camera and the signs having different refresh rates.

Thanks.  Hopefully I get a chance to ride the 7000s myself soon, though I will probably wait until they are on the Green line.

Don't assume I didn't.  The signs are not malfunctioning and I already explained what causes it to appear that way on camera.

Yeah, I hadn't realized so much time had passed. Purple line is probably next to receive them, I'd say by mid July. Not sure what they'll do with the Yellow, but that will obviously be next or after Purple. Then Brown, Orange and Green to finish. Surprised it didn't go Pink to Green.

Purple and yellow will probably be tested simultaneously with a 6 on the purple and 2 sets of 2 on the yellow as was done with the 5000s

Yeah your right that was done. I had to look it up. I forgot. Heres the 5000s testing list dates

 Nah, they are testing on the Purple Line then they will move to the Yellow Line. I’m shocked that they aren’t testing 4 cars on the Yellow Line while they are testing 6 cars on the Purple Line.
