RJL6000
I saw a Nova moving west on 103rd at Cottage Grove on Friday. I thought it was odd, but nothing would surprise me anymore. is this a sign that the 03 could be getting novas Right now, 103rd has at least one Nova - #6709. It is a loaner from Archer since at least one of 103rd's own buses was involved in an accident a short time ago.
cta5658
Right now, 103rd has only one Nova - #6709. It is a loaner from Archer since one of 103rd's own buses was involved in an accident a short time ago. Let Me Guess, #6471 is on the #28, is that a loaner as well? RJL6000
Let Me Guess, #6471 is on the #28, is that a loaner as well? Yes. This makes at least two of 103rd's own buses out of commission at this time. And as of now, with the pending decommission of the Archer Garage and the pending phased retirement of the Flxibles, any Flxibles which either have been involved in serious accidents or have broken down seriously enough to require major repairs are being replaced by some of Archer's Novas. Thus, you can expect to see the soon-to-be ex-Archer Novas scattered amongst the 103rd, 74th, Chicago and Kedzie Garage routes in the coming months. qwantae
Let Me Guess, #6471 is on the #28, is that a loaner as well? I know, I saw that #6471 at Southbound Stony Island/ 67th this morning working #28 when I was on my way to church. I was hoping for awhile that 103rd should get some Novas to trade in for some early 1000s back to Archer (If Archer doesn't closes).
artthouwill
Since 74th and FG have the most Flxs, I expect those two garages to be the biggest recipients of the Novas with 77th possibly since they already have a large number of Novas. With such a small number of Flxs at 103rd, K, and C, I don't foresee those garages getting much, if any in the way of Novas, but that is dependent on how the route assignments shake out after A closes. BusHunter
#1914 is on the #111. So buses are appearing from more garages. Looks like they may be trying to phase out more #6200's there in whole or at least in part.

BusExpert32
There's been a New Flyer-Nova swap between FG and 77th: - 1244, 1245, 1246, and 1247 are on FG routes today (1249, 1250, 1251, and 1253 are still at 77th) - 6846, 6848, 6849, and 6850 are on 77th routes today Kedzie is also involved, since NFs 1200 and 1204 are also at FG right now. This is what I've noticed, but there are probably more buses involved.
cta_44499_FG
There was a convoy of buses from 103rd garage (all 40 ft NF) pulling into North Park last night (Friday) around 2200. Beyond that is the 1800's, the lone 1900, 1500's, 1400's, and 1000's
