40 New Novas (don’t know the numbers) went to Kedzie in exchange for 40 1600 series New Flyers last week.

To be exact, 8260-8275, 8277-8279, 8281-8286, 8289-8299 and 8322-8324. 8287 joined the others at Kedzie after that weekend. In return, Forest Glen received 1618-1626, 1628, 1630-1643 and 1645-1665 (however, some of those might be out of service such as 1646). These New Flyers joined 1627, 1629 and 1644 at Forest Glen, resulting in a continuous block of 1592-1665 at Forest Glen.

That same weekend, Kedzie received 21 other 8300s from 103rd that same weekend: 8301-8321. (8276, 8280, 8288 and 8300 remain at 103rd.)

These are photos of 7900s recently acquired by Kedzie Garage: 8294 on the 12, 8281 on the 10, 8322 on the 21, and 8261 on the 12. All of these photos were taken yesterday (August 7th, 2023).

Why are the destination signs off center? I have seen this on CTA buses since May or June I think.

1083, 1803, and 1871 have showed up at FG few days ago and have been there since…….could there possibly be something soon? or these may just be loans

1209, 1268 and 1277 have been showing up operating out of 103rd for at least a week now. 1471 popped up just today running out of there,  but I'm inclined to look at that one as a loan.

It always puzzles me how 103rd gets loaned equipment while they have a surplus of equipment that slowly seems to be coming back and getting shipped off to other garages at the same time. Seeing #7906 at FG was something I did not expect happening though. Kind of wish all of the elderly #7900s could be moved to FG. Wishful thinking though. ???

Probably cause 103rd schedules make the drivers have to push those buses. Lmao

Never seen a garage help out the 20 itself for united center events. Whoever has 4079 is loaning it out on the 20 right now. I've seen the 146 extras and 152 extras for the cubs and bears but first time I've spotted extras on the 20 I usually only see the 19

And I'll be darn if I'm not on 7906 riding on the 84 at this very moment that I'm responding to you.? But yes it is funny that after 103rd gave up a good 50-some NFs only to see a few NFs from other garages come in regardless of if they're there temporarily or not.

That is because FG is short on operable buses at the moment. Both K (7906, 8272 and 8273) and NP lent out a few of their buses to help FG out.

FG isn't short there pretty much at the same total fleet wise as Kedzie.
