... The #8600s deliveries at this point may start pivoting back to the Southside because if I'm not mistaken K and C are just about at a surplus of equipment.

From the number of 1400s-1500s showing up in NP territory, I was wondering what 74th was getting, but looking at the recent posts, it, too, looks over capacity. I guess CTA isn't retiring 1000s or withdrawing them for rehab as quickly as thought.

Yeah currently C sits at 292, K is at 273, NP is at 283, 74th is at 267, 77th is at 277 while FG and 103rd respectively sit at 255/256 buses on the current rosters. Cs total count is a bit misleading with 16 of those being #600 oos. So they're right around 276 at this moment. NP does seem to be handling the bloat of elderly #1000s quite well since last summer so hopefully they can continue on an upward trend with less issues going forward. That trade of #1600s from K to FG seems to be doing OK for them as well but I do wonder if 8350s do start popping up at 74th will FG get elderly #8000s or #14/1500s from 74th?

I rode 1719 on 22 Clark the other day, so it hasn't rusted out yet.

Well technically, the 1400s and extra 1500s that recently appeared at NP were 77th and FG assigned previously. 74th had already gotten NFs numbered in the 1360s and 1370s from 77th and some higher numbered Nova 7900s (primarily uppermost 8180s, the 8190s and a few more lower 8200s if I remember correctly) in place of some 1400s to 77th and temporarily some to C as well as in part being due to C getting an initial batch of 25 8350s directly behind 103rd and FG having gotten a split allotment out of the very first group delivered. So 74th wasn't really affected by the 1400s and 1500s that showed up at NP in recent weeks. But I do agree that 74th would likely have to be next in 8350s assignments if 77th doesn't see more behind the current K and C split assignments.

I've noticed over the past two to three weeks at least that very few if any 40 foot buses have been on the 6. Apparently the backlog at South Shops that kept so many artics at 103rd out of commission has eased up some.

Pretty much what has returned will stay for the long haul but quite a few have been deemed unusable due to the beams and suspension showing severe cases of rusting. #4002 and #4310 are among several artics that have been parked due to rusting issues.

Hmmm no wonder why I've seen a lot of white patches on #67 signs because of this silly mistake on 69th/Michigan lol. :D

That's really bad.  The wrong destination for the N5 but how do you mess up 67th/69th/71st with 79th?

The question is whether it was fixed in the past 10 years. Look at the date on @garmon757's post.

Don't you have anything better to do?
