You should sign up for Pace's email notifications cause you're not up to date.  #331 has been replacing #304 since summer of 2019.  #322 has a dumb reroute that bypasses the Broadview Shopping Center by taking 1st Av, Roosevelt, 25th Av, and Cermak.  This is because the small Addison Creek bridge has weight limits in place now.  Why are buses restricted even if they're lighter than semis?  I don't know.  If anyone has the answer please comment it.

To my knowledge,  Pace has always contracted for its paratransit services.  Im not even including the city paratransit services it inherited from CTA which has always been contracted.   

The 331 was extended when the 304 was eliminated last year.

The 322 originally detoured via 17th Ave and some side streets  before taking 25th Ave and a frontage rd back Cermak .  I can only think about some drivers being lost and confused by the detour and Pace simplifying that detour.  I don't know if 17th Ave has a weight restriction north of the railroad track crossing, otherwise 17th Ave to Roosevelt should have worked.

The MCI buses at Heritage, are they D4000s or D4500S?  They look like 40" buses to me, which would make them D4000s, right.  The 45 ' nuses are 4500s.

Currently the 40 ft buses are D4005s and the 45 ft buses are D4505s.  I'm sure they are the Commuter versions.

You are correct, they are 40' buses. All Pace MCI buses are D4000CT

One item of note that I noticed, on the #2600s that I've seen, the outside advertisement "holders" have been removed.  But they are still on for the #2700s and #2826-2829.  So that tells me that the #2700s are staying, 2826-29 are staying and the rest are to be soon retired when all of the 20300s go into service.

Highland Park Public Works at 1150 Half Day Road is the storage location when Ravinia is in season. It was once reported on here that there were four more buses at North Division.

Can't say they are officially retired, but so far, there's been no sign of #2604-2608, #2612, 2614-18, #2622-2625 in recent weeks.  That leaves #2609-2611, #2619-2621, #2626-2629, all of the late #2600s, #2700-2701, 2704-2706, #2766 and #2826-2829. that I've either physically saw or online.

Shows that while there was a logic to numbering buses, it breaks down. From consecutive numbering regardless of types (resulting in oddballs like 2378, 2453), the 6 series logic was 40 ft. transits starting with 6000, 35 ft. transits with 6600, and motor coaches with 6900 (with a jump to 6950 to get past the old and rented ones), Pace now has the YYT00 system (Year, Type, number), which at least assures short series.
