Pace 831 posted a photograph on 8/31/2017 at Chandler ( https://chitransit.org/topic/1732-new-eldorados/?page=49 ) of 17522 behind a fence. If you blow up the image and look in the right hand doorway above the back of 17522 you will see 6366. Has it had a crash that has required Chandler to rebuild it or has it been decided it as beyond economic repair

If  you blow it up, it is this one:

DSCF2401.JPG

About the only way to see it is to right click on open link in new window or tab, and then hit the magnify cursor.

I assume that since it is at Chandler instead of the back lot of West or South-2. there was some intent to repair it.

Looks like per the latest roster, 6366 is not in existence.  Skipped possibly?

It would appear that the Pace roster in question appears to be an "active" list. 6366 not listed because it is a shop hold? Maybe 2727 was too on the day the list was compiled, though that one showed up again a few days later.

Per the Roster List from 1/3/18, the 6 buses at West are 6612 (which was out on Wednesday), 6651 and 6652 (neither were out), 6666, 6669, and 6672 (66 and 72 were out, 69 was not). North may still have a couple of stragglers, but they may be relegated to spares.  It's likely the rest have gone to South2 lot.  There's also the chance some may make an appearance at Ravinia this year, but we'll have to wait until the season begins to find out.

Out of the 6 listed, I 've only seen 4.  I haven't spotted 6652 nor 6669 on West routes.  I have been on all of the other 4 this calendar year.

Lots of 6600s and 6200s at Ravinia this year as Busjack stated.  With the Ravinia schedule out now, they must be planning for big crowds this year.  I'm sure I'll see a lot of them when I go there on 6/22.

On the other hand, the 6000s and 6600s that were on the Jan 2017 inventory as Rav (or in the case of 6000s, N), and on the Jan. 2018 inventory as South 2 no longer are. I checked the Jan 2018 and March inventories, and there is no overlap.

Well it would try to answer what is headed for the edens bos startup. Something is going there but what it is is still up for debate.

Wonder if this displaces any Eldorado they currently have?

See above. (This seems the better thread).

Either the service expands in June, or something gets moved, and about they only place they could be moved would be to West.

Current disposition list. Nothing surprising here, but note:

  • Orion VIs and NABIs had the same power trains, so I'm not sure what was the big deal separating them by garages.
  • A S NABI ran up over 700,000 miles, while the rest of the buses about 500,000.

Why is 2378 still in South Holland if it is not "preserved"?

I don't know if this is the reason but Is 2378 the last Orion 1 ever built before Orion 1 ended their production in 1993?

Probably is, but Pace's concern would be that it is the last one it has.
