South Shop 7

Aren't you making my life easier!!! Welcome and thanks you for providing this extraordinary tool! Very much needed!

Thank you!  I have some improvements planned soon, now that I came up with this idea this morning.  Once those are done, I'll create a new thread for this.

It's pretty funny that the 8100's still hasn't seen the light of day on the 53 or 54. I guess the farther south or the farther east you go, CTA loves you more there.

You'll probably see one easy in the next week. These buses are coming in so fast, they should have 20 or so buses on the street by next week. Maybe this weekend, FG will get some new buses, (#6400's and #6800's) I was noticing only two #8100's on the street in the PM rush yesterday. I don't know if it has to do with the AC but the morning drivers take them out more. Those afternoon drivers still have the extra buses, but once they take them away they'll be forced to use these buses more.

Ok here's a bunch of pictures of #8107, #8108 and #8111!!

In the 2nd picture I was surprised to see the #73's sign flips to a #57 way back at Laramie/Grand WB. What I just got off there was a #73 not a #57. First time I saw it flip a block from the terminal.

We know what areas of Chicago CTA loves more and what areas they love less!!!

#8107 is OOS at Armitage and Milwaukee.  The engine cover was open, and the bus was just waiting.  Sorry for the horrible photo quality-I was on a moving bus, taking a place with my phone on full zoom.

Edit: It just passed me, driving west on Armitage with the cover left open.

I decided to head to the shop after work as I type this and #8117 has arrived. Nothing past #8128 so far.

They'll probably be 6-12 more over the weekend. If we're lucky we'll see up to #8140 soon.

#8112 is out today on the #65. First time in 3 days Chicago hasn't put out at least 2 new buses. Something must be up with #8113.

Any Pace rider knows what it is.

Ha, Ha!! Just like that player I saw on the Red Sox last night. First he fouls a ball off his foot, then he fouls a ball off his shin. (a painful at bat) He finally got a hit but was hobbling to first base. His number, #13 of course.

But, i really can't figure out why CFD puts an engine number 13, in the loop. That's probably the worst place you could be working that truck. Hope those guys aren't superstitious.

I'm thinking maybe the 73 and the 57 interline since they share the same terminal and the 57 is such a short route.  Similar to the 51 and the 52A.

Usually, they don't have to go to the 13th Floor, which usually does not exist.

It's still at the shop. Keep in mind that every bus that have arrived already have its license plates.

They are going to have to start shipping those out later today, or this weekend to make way for the new arrivals. They have 15-16 now with 6-12 on the way. probably already left NY or soon will be in a few hours. Hmm.. smells like a transfer weekend is coming.

BusFinder has 8105 on 53 at the moment.
