I would rather not talk about it. Mostly because id like to keep it to myself but also because this isn't the right place to talk about cta

My bad man.  But yeah I don't mean it in a bad way I just found it funny to see you're actually a transit fan.  I'll pm you in the forum messages so this page doesn't continue off topic.

Why is the station called Oak Lawn Patriot and how long has it been named this way?

The link posted by @Smolensk explained the meaning behind the name. Although the name change seems to have taken effect in 2012, Metra timetables were not  updated until Oak Lawn requested the change in January 2019.

These are the best Metra seats.. you can sink into them.... very plush.. Anyone else ever ran into these?

Here I must disagree; I find those seats less comfortable because they are too low to the floor.

I do sort of like the retro fake wood paneling, though.

This. I'm already pressed for leg space sitting up there and I'm only 5'8". Maybe it has something to do with my posture, but I feel like my knees come up above my waist, instead of at a 90 degree angle.

What type of cars are these on? I always sit in the newer 6000s or 8500s unless there’s an open Pullman in the train. If it’s an all stop train, sitting in the seats from Ogilvie to Woodstock can get a bit on the achy side, and I’ve stood up once or twice to stretch out.

Someone said it’s the old cnw cars. It’s rare to get one of these. I like how the seats hug you and sink in. Also they are good on isolation so it’s a nice ride. You can locate these by there square top seats. It’s like an old Cadillac type of seat pretty cushy

The 7200s/8200s, which are ex-Milwaukee Road cars. Most of them remain on the Milwaukee district. Some have been rehabbed with newer blue seats.

They look like the ex-C&NW seats from the painted coaches, which are at least 60 years old.

As noted above, this is a Milwaukee car. Some of the C&NW cars have seats with a metal backing that have to be lifted and turned over to change direction. See the picture below (seat back shown at upper right).

These are the carbon steel cars, that require painting.
