The 5800 series New Flyers only served at North Park. The upper 62xx to 6329 was exclusively 74th. Yea that's the only time you gone see 1933-2029 at other garages is when they go to SS & if ss or 6 take 1 of em for a run like how somebody seen 2028 on the 44 other then that C not swapping those buses

I don't think they served at North Park. I think they were at K. They didn't last very long.

What is weird is SS didn’t send the bus for cleaning before being officially done. But it is nice to have a late 1900 back at 77th.

It is true that the 6800s did start out at FG, but many of those later got transferred to 77th, and then 74th before finally returning to the garage they started out at. That said, there are several buses in the upper 6700s and lower 6800s that spent their entire service lives (except for occasional temporary loans) officially assigned to FG. Yeah just like the #6230's on up to #6329 was always at 74th. They were almost at 69th but not. I don't even think the tmc's or #5300s were at 69th. Just the MAN standards and fishbowl gmcs. They didn't have any more than 50. Of course the entire 79th fleet went to 74th. The 69th and 76th garages never had any 5300s. The garages that didn't get 5300s got the 6000s with the exception of North Park, which had the 5800s. I don't remember what buses Limits had before it closed. Some of the best looking gmcs that were left. They went to fg. Like 80 to 90 percent were painted in the authority's new livery. I remember the tmc's showing up at chicago garage but they were never at Lawndale. I think the tmc's came into 74th not 69th but let's look at the roster I have. Been so long I forgot what I put down. I do remember they were at 3 garages to start. 77th 4875- 4713, kedzie 4712- 4573, np 4572-4400. Its close but again let's look at the lifetime roster. BusHunter
Yeah 74th didnt get tmc's until 1995 according to what I have. I believe 74th opened in 94. We can check for sure with the 6000 roster.
BusHunter
Oh yeah that's right the last 100 #6000s came later. They didnt come with the original order. Forgot that. But it seems 74th didnt open until later. Maybe I need to go hack to the 4000 mans.
