Erin Mishkin Jr. Posted February 13, 2019 Report Posted February 13, 2019 5617 and 5618 are also at Green. Quote

This makes the 2600 series train spotted on the Green Line even stranger Red has a surplus of 5000s. It seems like Red and Green are swapping some cars, presumably to even out mileage. Quote
chgofan78 Posted February 16, 2019 Report Posted February 16, 2019 5163-5164 have also made their way onto the Red Line. Quote

What are you using to take and upload the pics? When you click to view larger, they all appear upside down. Quote
Erin Mishkin Jr. Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 I wonder why Green and Red are switching cars. I also got 5689 and 5690 on Green Line. Quote
Mr.cta85 Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 Without looking at the car numbers you can still tell the green and redline cars just by how clean they are on the outside lol. Red line cars are filthy while the green still has a shine to it lol. 3 Quote

Some say because of mileage which is a great point. My first thought was Skokie Shops Or maintenance related. Quote

Certain Red Line runs go to Ashland/63rd to layup after the morning rush due to work going on at 95th. With that being said they’re probably using cars interchangeably because they use the same equipment. The cars that Red borrowed will go back to Green and vice versa when the pick goes into affect towards the end of next month. Quote
Erin Mishkin Jr. Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 5157 and 5158 are back on the Green Line. Quote
Aiden Tabucic Posted April 6, 2019 Report Posted April 6, 2019 This set of cars on the yellow line train 5517-5518 are shining glory even the wheels 1 Quote

Brandon93 Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 I guess cars from The Green Line are permanent now? I thought those cars would’ve gone back to Green after the morning rush since today was the last day of Red Line trains going to 63rd and Ashland. Quote
chicagocubs6323 Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 They probably will go back to the Green within the next week or two. If not then it's probably like one member in here said . They could be transferring cars to even out mileage. 1 Quote
