More Bus Moves

1965 and 1966 were out as recent as yesterday on 77th routes. Didnt C have all of those busses before? I'm thinking lower 77th 1900's will go to 6 while upper ones return to C.

Chicago had the #1970's evens a few years ago. But 77th has always had the odds. But come to think of it the evens #1968 to #1930's were at NP when Chicago had the #1970's evens. But originally i believe 103rd had the #1900 evens up to #1992 when they got them all until #2015. Some of last ones never ran in service at 103rd and eventually went into service at Chicago. This should be in my #1000's roster link on the garage roster page. But it is a WIP, but you can see how they originally came in what numbers to where. Someday I'll finish it up in the not too distant future as I'll have to update the other in service fleets.

North Park's D40LF Allison Transmission roster was the following a few years back....

1930,1932,1934,1936,1938,1940,1942,1944,1946,1948,1950,1952,1954,1956,1958,1960,1962,1964,1966,

1968,1970,1972,1974,1976,1978,1979,1980

Then it was trimmed to....

1964,1966,1968,1970,1972,1974,1976,1978,1979,1980

And before all of them were transferred out...

1972,1974,1976,1978,1979,1980

you mean winter pick lol

Yeah I just want it to be spring already. I'm not looking forward to the potentially colder winter weather. LOL

1800-54: 103rd

1855-99 (odds): North Park before receiving 1856-64 (evens) from Chicago

1856-98 (evens): Chicago before starting at 1866.

I think Busjack might have been speaking of original assignment after initial deliveries in which his memory would have been correct that up until the time that Chicago got 1800s, 1900s and the 2000s assigned, the even numbered 1800s were all at 103rd and all the odd ones were at NP. Taking into account sw's memory, that even odd split was 1430-1928 evens to 103rd, 1431-1929 odds to NP, 1931-1977 odds to 77th, 1930-1980 evens plus 1979 to NP and 1981-2029 to 103rd briefly before 1856-1962 evens (and later the other even Allison buses to 1980) and 1981-2029 found their way to Chicago.

1870 is back at Chicago on the #120

This may have been a 103rd operator filling in for a C operator with a C based bus... (I know sounds weird).

1870 was back again at 103rd this time as a 95E, 1241 was spotted as a 34.

I have a feeling that bus never left 103rd, I wouldn't see why they would transfer it back and forth like that..

Off topic: 1971 @ 103rd may be a hint of whats coming with winter pick.

Many of us have seen beggars singing or rapping for $$ on the Red Line.

Christmas night I saw one with his dog. He tied the dog to a stanchion while he attempted to work the car.

It was a small long-haired dog [don't know what breed] that thankfully didn't crap on the floor :D .

You'll have to take my word for it because I didn't get pics or a video. :(

Happy Boxing Day all. :)

Was it a "working dog" or "dog guide?"

Also, the McKenzie Brothers say to enjoy Wrestling Day Saturday (it used to be in WCW).

Hmmm I wonder what 74th will get in return if anything at all..........

They did get more units. 74th received at least nine 1100s from 77th, if not more. (1101-1109)

Weirdly, it looks as if 74th was also honored with some ancient hand-me-downs from FG --- at least three and possibly more. (6423 & 6471-72).
