Especially the last time I took a #7900 I had to stand up for the rest of the ride because I didn’t want to embarrass myself slipping out of those seats, this is why I wish New Flyer could of won because their seating is better especially when the bus stops.

Based on @Lothian's post (very sharp eyes) the delivery date of 8350 is not in 21.

BTW, is 7900 the real one?

Well it is cause it was at SS on that date. Whether it was the 1st one  or 2nd one is irrelevant as at least an example of it was here.

Then, the more accurate way of stating it would be:

Pilot: 8/11/21

8350 3/??/2022

"It" is ambiguous in this context.

Not unusual there were 2 1000s, the second one (and the one in service) arriving after 1244. The first remained as a mechanical trainer. The same happened earlier with RTS 4400 and Flxible 5300.

This did not happen with 7900 although the bus was out of use from 6/2016 thru 8/2020 as a mechanical trainer. Does having a pilot 8350 implies significant differences to the earlier batches?

I’m not exactly sure on that tho. The original one that was displayed at Navy Pier back in 2005 remains at at Greenwood. At first I thought the one in service was the one from 2005 but that one was 2006.

Just to give everyone some more context on the interior this is what it'll look like and also sound like with a few modifications courtesy of CTA of course. There is also 8 #8350s in total now at SS. One is hidden behind #8354 in one of our eastern bays of the garage I'll try and find the number for it though later on this afternoon.

Yeah  I drove by with my bus, I was over there and had the chance. SS is getting crowded with all those new buses. There's not really any space for new ones to arrive. The whole west end of 79th is full of #8350's with the #600's beside them. At least #8327 is in the eastern end not so isolated. Don't know what they are going to do. I don't remember seeing license plates on them so it will still be a couple weeks but if more come in they'll probably have to fast track the 8350s
