Bridgeportbus
1930 and 1960 seem to have migrated to np from c. Both are on the 22 now. The c sticker has been pulled from the window.
doconnor
I run the web site TransSee. I recently added support for the Chicago CTA buses. Besides real-time next bus arrival information, it can track buses by fleet number range or by route. Here are some examples: Find buses 1366-1369, 1371-1372, 1374-1378 Find Route 22 buses I hope you will find this site useful. I would have started a new topic, but I didn't see the option to.

Spare ratio of 15.9% for standard buses is about normal, but 42% for articulated buses is ridiculous. It can't be just that they are holding back buses for rehab and they have reliability issues (in which case they are no better than the NABIs), but that the acquisition of the 100 for the Red Line project was otherwise unnecessary, as demonstrated by their failures on #66 and #79. Remember, the Optimas and 1st Generation Novas were supposed to be replaced by the 100 artics and 450 Novas. Now we are know why FG is stuck with so many 6400s, and, undoubtedly, being stuck with so many of them is why its spare ratio is high.

Only way to make use of the artics would be to reinstate X service cause it's actually the extra dwell times from stop spacing that fouls artic operations on local routes. Either that or just bite the bullet and just deal with them on 79th cause IMO 79th qualifies for artics for the same reason 151 and 22 does. High ridership to the point where 40ft are impossible (79th is higher in the top 10 list than 151 and 22).

X service doesn't work because 74th isn't equipped to take them (current routes are X9 and X49). Only way is to get them back into 77th and C. Maybe putting some back on King Dr. would be a partial solution, but CTA doesn't seem interested in that. Even if you propose X54 coming back, I can't see it needing that kind of capacity. Artics have traditionally run on 151, but since you bring up 22, I find it hard how artics can be justified there (again narrow streets and dwell times) unless NP is so stuck with them that it has to run them somewhere. Could possibly be the case considering outside of 22, 146, 147, 151. NP's artic routes are peak only so it's either over assign and let them sit/run on local service since that's half their fleet or under assign then have to do a lot of sharing (kedzie might be in the same boat with attics showing up on 12 on weekends when likely not necessary but having no choice since they still do a lot of main routes and have to run them with SOMETHING). Yes I know 103rd now has similar ratios but outside of the 29, and their share of express service, have a lot of light service/feeder routes that don't require a lot of buses so vs the other two which still have routes with heavy enough service to where there no choice but to get an artic to fill a few runs unless they wanna borrow on weekends

Busjack
This one's pretty bizarre, or maybe not. CPD released the serial groper, but for mental evaluation (Tribune).
Sam92
1597, 1602 and 1842 spotted on 103rd's 95 95Th, 103 w 103rd and 29 State. Idk if this is recent or not I just know it's odd considering they mostly had the first 1000's

Mr.cta85
I'll be back at 103rd this Sunday after spending my last 2yrs at 74th. 1 thing I hope doesn't happen is we get rid of all the 1100's lol cause I'll be upset if that happens lol. Hopefully the 1100's will stay. But then again it's been a while since there's been a huge bus swap so I guess we'll see what happens. But as far as the spotting of those buses I wonder does that have to do with the rehab of the artics ??.

Busjack
Man critically hurt by sticking head out of moving Red Line train, hitting pole. A.J. wasn't feeling so good, either.

A.J. wasn't feeling so good, either. Either an operator or someone from CTA left a cab window open or unlocked, or the young man jimmied the operator window open. Either way, it is never a good idea to stick one's head out the window of a moving train. I once saw a teenager do the same thing on a Green Line train between Central and Harlem going WB. Fortunately for him, no poles and no oncoming UP-W Metra train to take his head out.

C gained some 1830s back from K. NP gained 1407-1410 from 74th and some lower 1700s from K. More details coming tomorrow morning's rush.
